Sorry for your data loss, that is never a good experience. They removed lots of functionality as they were unable to make them work with windows 10 anymore, I doubt it is an easy job for 3rd parties to do the job then.

I hope there is a way to recover the lost pictures.

There are low level (some are Linux based) disk manipulation and backup software that run from external media, like a flash drive or a CD/DVD. Maybe you can find one that works well for your needs.

Can't get it back.. That's not the first time I lost data.. Windows Vista crapped out on the me the last Desk top PC I ever owned.. I lost all my early videos I had from Trail cams in the mid 2000's.. Very Large Whitetail bucks, Black Bears etc.. madding when someone asks and they could be shown.. I get working steady and get settled I hunting for some decent tech..

Sorry to hear. That is bad. Been through it before, I know how you feel.

If the data loss is due to software error, you can use an offline data recovery utility to recover your data, as long as you have another storage unit available and the data has not been overwritten. Usually, as soon as you discover the problem, shut the computer down, and boot it from a recovery utility disk.

I hope this does not happen again.

I still like Windows XP the best. Windows 8 was awful and 10 is better than 8, but still could be better.

I agree about XP, and MS knows its good, they have been trying to kill it for a long time now.

They face the same issue with Windows 7. Probably why they don't want to make a decent OS anymore.

Windows 7 I did really like it, but feel for the trap of 10.. Too bad something wouldn't come a lot to kick the crap out of Windows OS and Mac..

I think Mac is about to kick it own ass by following Microsoft's example, they want to unify the user experience of all their devices, like Metro for Windows desktop and mobile/tablet.

You can give Linux a try, Mint is good for beginners.

I am so sorry to hear that.
