For with his mouth, there is a skill,
that can only come from pleasure

    very intense, hard and fast,
or light as the softest feather

He is a poet, on beautiful parchment,
for which to lay his verse

But tis not words, that befall his mouth,
that create the beauty of his work

He may hear sighs, or even gasps,
    when his passion is beheld

More often than not, it is likely because,
his lust for love is felt.

    Determination
    By Kitsune

Quitting is something I can't stand,
and giving up, I just don't understand,
    No need to be clever,
    just never say never,
until never is actually at hand.

    Open Book

I wear my heart upon my sleeve,
for those who wish to see
Right there out in the open
    At risk of being broken
But it's where I choose it to be

Yes, there's great risk in this style
But great rewards and tons of smiles
    With caring and love perceived
    So too is it received
And the good outweighs the bad by a mile

I wrote these elsewhere, but figured I could bring them here, just because...well, it's poetry!

    My 4,444
    By Kitsune

Four thousand, four hundred, and forty four
Not one less, and not one more
Not quite five thousand, but certainly more than four
Exactly four thousand, four hundred...and forty four.

    It's a one time thing,
    history in the making
so I wanted a special place,
    for my 4x4 staking

and twice I almost found a place,
    but thought better of another
    three times around the web,
well, here's as good as any other

So, I sat and wrote one line,
which of course turned into two,
    and three verses later
I've got four lines four times through

One poem that's full of numbers,
    dedicated to my special post,
For my four four forty four,
Let's give it three cheers and a toast!

    My Penis
    By Kitsune

    One penis, two penis
    my penis, you penis
    penis big, or penis small,
    penis wide, or penis tall

penis, penis, it's all the same
different numbers, but not the name
at the end of the day, we still have one
so let's just use it to have some fun

not to measure our smarts, or strength
the size of our heart's not measured in length
nor our compassion, measured in girth
that thing called a penis, does not make our worth

So he has a seven, and he has a five
A couple have four, and a couple have nines
And one or two, have a ten and a three
But that's theirs, not mine...do you see what I mean?

    The Quiet World
    BY JEFFREY MCDANIEL

In an effort to get people to look
    into each other’s eyes more,
and also to appease the mutes,
    the government has decided
to allot each person exactly one hundred
    and sixty-seven words, per day.

When the phone rings, I put it to my ear
without saying hello. In the restaurant
I point at chicken noodle soup.
I am adjusting well to the new way.

Late at night, I call my long distance lover,
proudly say I only used fifty-nine today.
I saved the rest for you.

    When she doesn’t respond,
I know she’s used up all her words,
so I slowly whisper I love you
    thirty-two and a third times.
After that, we just sit on the line
and listen to each other breathe.

    Empathy
    By Kitsune

It is real though I can't hold it in my hand.
Not like stone or grass, or grains of sand.
But though I can't reach out with my fingers and touch
I know I can feel it. Oh yes, very much.
And I can see it, as clear as daylight.
Sometimes, so much, it envelopes my sight.
Yet can't seem to find, the right words to say,
and describe it in a visual way.

There are things in my mind, I know to be true.
I have convinced it...and it has me too.
The mind, indeed, is a peculiar thing.
Making real, things, that we only think.
But how do we know, these tangible treasures,
are as real as they seem, without physical measures?
No weight on a scale, no corners, no wall
No way for us to tell, if they're indeed real at all

    But...

These ethers of the body, that we've come to know
conscious, emotion, and the essence of soul
We all know are there, just embedded within.
Making us more than just bones wrapped in skin
Yet, we question so much, how others must feel
Knowing full well that our own thoughts are real.
No matter how irrational, or unfounded they seem
in that moment they feel as real as can be.

And what seems true yesterday, may not be the day after
But we feel it today, and that’s all that should matter
Those invisible ties, are truly something great,
making us humans, and they let us relate.

So, next time before we ask someone for proof,
On why they feel the way that they do.
Think back to a time, not so long ago,
When that feeling was real, as far as you know.
And remember what it was like, that you felt that day
Joy or sadness, anger or dismay

And think, this person, they are human too.
What are the chances that they feel like you?

Before you get set, in the actions you choose…
    Try taking a walk…
    In someone else’s shoes.

Ah, indeed I do seem to recognize those two, "My 4444" and "My Penis" :D

I like your "Empathy" for sure; well-done!
