Came across this guys video on Youtube and subbed immediately. Great videos of surviving with no tools or anything other than what you find around you. He's got a good few videos, but not as many as I would like. Very very interesting to me this stuff is. Enjoy...

I should have mentioned, this one above is a few videos in after he has built his mud house and is making a forge to make more tools.

    That is very impressive!

Would be good to be able to depend on ones' self like that.

He makes a very small mount of iron extracted from the orange looking ore from the stream. But it gives you the idea you can make steel tools with this process. Simple things like knives and forks, a hammer, nails, a saw etc and the things we take for granted could be made when you literally have dirt to work with.

We have lost touch with nature, and to some extent with reality too. Depending so much on mass manufacturing and store bought goods; instead of making them. The feeling is quite rewarding. The more you make stuff for yourself, the happier you feel.

Definitely. A life closer to nature is good too, for the mind and the health I feel. I think if we could reduce our dependence on the system providing for us there would be less CO2 emissions and we'd know exactly where it came from, but I'm not sure the powers that be want this?

Here's a vid where he grows a sweet potato patch. Starting to feed himself...
