    There will be a lot of snake oil "solutions" for the flaw, but its far deeply rooted than what third parties can do to help. This is what happens when they rush out electronic devices without proper testing.

    Who would want to hack my car? Well, many, even if they don't know who I am. Could have plenty of reasons to do so.

    Yeah, but I can't see why all of these things would be networked. I mean brakes and power steering? I understand it may make it easier for diagnoses purposes when you get a little light on the dashboard telling you to check the ABS etc, but I think its possible to not have everything in the vehicle routed through a computer brain.

    Did they not learn anything from Battlestar Galactica?
